On Wednesday, June 25, 1969, George was born to the late Iris Spencer Braxton and Amos Starling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
George cherished every day of his life; his family meant everything to him. Pushing his children to do their very best in everything through faith, courage, strength and commitment through life.
Never meeting a stranger George’s warm personality touched everyone he met accompanied with an unforgettable smile and sense of humor.
Faith, prayer, and the church was vital to George’s life. The life he lived was a testimony of his faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. He adored the opportunity to share his testimony with others.
George is survived by his loving wife, Chanda Spencer, of the home: one daughter, Keaira Spencer, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; five sons, Anthony Brown, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tyreek Cole, Spring City, Pennsylvania, George Spencer, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christopher Cole, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Nicholas Spencer, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a host of grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and many friends.
George’s wishes was to be cremated with no services.
George will forever have a place in our hearts.
