Mrs. Cynthia Ann Ezzell, age 70 of Godwin died Friday, July 22, 2022 at her home.

Cynthia was born August 28, 1951 in Richmond County, the daughter of the late Harold Craven and Ethel Prevatt Craven, and is preceded in death by her son, Eugene W. Ezzell, III. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Janice Barton and Kay Cribb.

Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; her family was very important to her. She loved people and loved helping people. She enjoyed going to the beach; being on the beach listening to the waves break on the sand gave her a peaceful feeling.

She was a homemaker at heart and loved working in her yard. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching people pass by.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Faulkner and Rev. Earl Craven officiating. The Family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.

She is survived by: her husband of 46 years: Eugene W. Ezzell, Jr. of the home.

Daughters: Kimberly Ann Barefoot of Godwin, NC; Joyce W. Bailey of Spivey’s Corner, NC; and Lisa M. Ezzell of Stedman, NC.

Grandchildren: Laura Hardison of Clinton, NC; Matthew Hardison of Erwin, NC and Daniel Beaird of Spivey’s Corner, NC.

Great Grandchildren: Waylon G. Jones, Rylie A. Jones, Harper J. Whitted and Greyson A. Falin.
