Carl "Shane" Jones

Shane was born December 31, 1965 in Harnett County, NC to the late Carl O. Jones and Juanita Hyatt Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Terry O. Jones (Alice) of Fayetteville and Craig Jones of Erwin; his stepmother Shari Jones; his stepbrother Nicholas “Nick” Parrilla (Melissa) of Coats; and his stepsisters DeeAnna Fairley (Namar)of Erwin and Bibi Cook (Julius) of Dunn. Shane also leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews, 1 great-nephew, and 2 great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather John P. Jones, and his wife Florence Groves Jones.

After graduating from Dunn High School, Shane detailed cars for many years before landing a job at Peterbilt of Dunn, where he worked for 10 years. Later in his life, he worked in many other jobs, including Construction and Landscaping & Lawncare.

Shane was known for his devotion to the NC State Wolfpack, the Carolina Panthers, and the Durham Bulls, and he greatly enjoyed deep sea fishing, and listening to gospel music. He also had 5 fur babies that he loved dearly.

There will be a private Celebration of Life for Carl “Shane” Jones at a later date.
