Bonnie Lovick Lee, age 89 of Dunn died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.
Bonnie was born on March 24, 1932 in Cumberland County the daughter of the late Walter Alton Lovick and Margaret Irene Ward Lovick and is preceded in death by her first husband, Garland E. Jackson and second husband, George Perry Lee. She is also preceded in death by a son, Duane Jackson, brothers, Walter S. Lovick and Harold Lovick and a sister, Janice L. Thomas.
Bonnie retired with 24 years of service with the State of North Carolina and was a member of Grove Presbyterian Church where she was very active in the choir.
Bonnie was a true southern lady in every way, she was a loving mother, grandmother and
great grandmother. No matter how she felt she was always smiling and lifting others up. She enjoyed doing for others and putting other people’s needs before her own.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery.
She is survived by: a son: Todd B. Lee & (wife) Barbara of Benson, NC.
Daughter: Tammy L. Giddens of Dunn, NC.
Grandchildren: Hannah Lee Giddens, Zachary B. Giddens, Kristen B. Lee and Tiffany N. Teats & (husband) Raymond.
Great-Grandchildren: Allie, Kyla and Xander Teats
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 11:00 am – 12:00 Noon at Grove Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall. One hour prior to the service in the Church Sanctuary.
