Betty Capps Coats

Betty Capps Coats, age 74 of Festus Rd. Coats, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.

Betty was born September 8, 1948 in Harnett County the daughter of the late William Rufus Capps and Gladys Mae Faircloth Capps. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Telpher Stancil and two brothers, Jerry Thomas Capps and Donald Roy Capps.

Betty was a dedicated wife and mother all of her life looking after her family. She was known for being a great cook. Her family was all the career she ever needed.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 11:00 am at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery.

She is survived by: Her Husband: Timothy Coats of the home.

Son: Johnny Mac Stancil of Snead’s Ferry, NC

Daughter: Linda Denise Hayes & (husband) Thomas of Coats, NC

Step-Daughter: Danielle Coats of Louisiana.

3 Grandchildren & 4 Great Grandchildren.

Brothers: Billy Ray Capps, Elgie Lee Capps, Jessie Alvin Capps and William Earl Capps all of Virginia.

The family will receive friends Saturday Evening, February 11, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC and at other times at the home.
