Betty Lou Blanchard

Betty Lou Blanchard, age 77 of Godwin, NC died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunn, NC. Betty Lou was born in Sampson County on April 4, 1939 the daughter of the late Joel Edgar and Bettie Jane Page Blanchard and is preceded in death by her brothers, J. R. (Buddy) Blanchard and Willie H. Blanchard and her sisters, Lettie Moore, Nadine Sessoms and Eveleen Honeycutt. Betty Lou enjoyed cooking and especially baking and was a dedicated member of Baptist Chapel Church where she served as church clerk for forty eight years, was a choir member and served as the Sunday School Secretary Assistant for many years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Alan Roberts and Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Chapel Church Cemetery. She is survived by: Sister: Janice Strickland of Dunn, NC Many nieces and nephews The Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Baptist Chapel Church.
