On September 26, 2012, Hattie Emmaline MacDonald succumbed to her long battle with illness. She was among her loved ones at the time of her passing. Hattie was born in Jones, Louisiana. She was a longtime resident of Providence, Rhode Island. She moved to Dunedin, Florida 28 years ago, after the death of her husband, Edward. Hattie loved the Lake Highlander Community in Dunedin where she resided and quickly became a favorite and popular resident. She was a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for everyone. She was proud of her "Southern Roots" having grown up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she cooked a delicious Gumbo and Jambalaya. Hattie will forever be known for her huge heart, and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. We were made richer for her being in our lives.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Edward MacDonald III.
