Agnes Covey passed on Friday, December 28, 2012. She grew up in Kingston, Jamaica; her mother Amelia, was a French Teacher and her father, Frank, was an Accountant for The East India Tea Company. She immigrated to Denver, Colorado following World War II with her husband, Bill, who was stationed, with the Air Force, in Jamaica. Agnes, a talented Commercial Artist, loved painting on china and canvas. She also enjoyed interior design, gardening, stitching, teaching art and various crafts to different community groups and spending time with her family. Agnes is remembered for her kindness, generosity, tireless caregiving and feisty spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bill; infant daughter, Elizabeth and son, Richard. She is survived by her daughter,Yvonne (Jerry) Klein of Clearwater, FL; son, John (Anita) Covey of Wheat Ridge,Colorado; granddaughters, Kristi (Jeff) Steffel of New Port Richey, FL, Lisa (Keith) DeFillippo of Schnectady, New York and Elissa Klein of St. Petersburg,FL., as well as four great-grandchildren, Carolynn, Cammie, Pete and Kevin. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater.
