Robert "Charlie" Charles Ross

Beloved husband of Wendy for 52 years. Loving father of Adam (Tracy) and Megan (Jason Whiston).

Proud papa of Rob, and devoted grandpa to Katy.

Charlie grew up in Dunnville where he started his newspaper career at the Dunnville Chronicle.

He went on to work at the Welland Tribune and then the Hamilton Spectator. In the early 1980's he began a new career in Media Relations with the Provincial Government, within various ministries; retiring from the Ministry of the Environment.

Charlie was a lifelong fisherman which began with spending time with his father, a Commercial Fisherman out of Port Maitland. His biggest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren that were his pride and joy.

The family wish to thank the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Villa - Balsam Trail for their compassionate care.

The Memorial Service to celebrate Charlie's life will take place at the Marlatt Funeral Home - Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Villa in Charlie's memory would be appreciated by his family.
