It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Robert (Bob) Warren Arnold, who passed away peacefully on November 27th, in the Peterborough Regional Health Center with spouse Lilian Wagner by his side. Bob was born in Hamilton in 1942 and lived there for most of his life. He dreamed of living up north in the wilderness where he could relax on his Muskoka chair – happily, he managed to do so for the last 13 years of his life. Bob was known for his love of nature, animals and people. He was one of a kind – a true character who always had something to say (even if it was inappropriate!). He was known for his long, entertaining stories about life, which he loved to repeat often. Bob is survived by his wife, Lil; his sons, Drew (Susan), Jayson (Tracey) and Jeff; daughter, Mandy (Tom); grandchildren, Liam, Kailyn, Braeden, Shannon, Madison, Tyler, Cody, Brandi; his brothers, Bill, (Penny), Bernie (Joanne), Ron, (Val, predeceased), Doug (Marilyn), and Walt (Sue); as well as his sisters, Doreen (Ron), Eleanor (Hugh), and Margaret (Cam) - both predeceased. He was predeceased by parents Margaret and William Arnold. Also an uncle to an army of wonderful nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome for visitation at Marlatt Funeral Home “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Marlatt Funeral Home “Swackhamer Chapel”. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.marlattfhdundas.com.
