McNALLY, Margaret "Phyllis" (nee Weir) Peacefully at home with family by her side, on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in her 93rd year. She is predeceased by her husband Reginald who died in 2002. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her children Marnie, Don and Cathy McNally; son-in-law Dan Kubat and daughter-in-law Miki Beldman; grandchildren Jennifer Goyder, (George Petridis) Chris Goyder (Rachel Alger), Sarah McNally, Sean McNally, Ross Curtner and his sister Anna Curtner (Dave Ransom) and great-grandson Simon Petridis. Phyllis was born in Charlottetown and raised in Saskatoon where she met Reg McNally, her husband of 59 years. In 1948 they moved to Hamilton. Phyllis was active with Big Sisters and made many lifelong friends curling at the Thistle Club. She was an enthusiastic patron of Theatre Aquarius. Poetry held a special place in her heart. Throughout her life she sought and gave comfort and laughter quoting a special line or verse. We remember Phyllis with gratitude and joy. She was loving and wise, courageous and gentle, curious and strong, generous and playful. A true matriarch. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers who supported Phyllis and her family this past year. We are grateful for assistance provided by the CCAC. Special thanks to nurse Debbie Cotzer and Dr. Samantha Winemaker who helped in so many ways. Phyllis was interred at a private family service in Blair on November 9th. Please remember Phyllis by reading or writing a poem. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, or Theatre Aquarius would be appreciated. Please send messages of condolence or tributes to http://www.marlattfhdundas.com/ under Phyllis McNally. Crossing the Bar And may there be no sadness of farewell, when I embark; For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar. - Alfred Lord Tennyson
