Cherished mother of Philip (Ann), and Anne Swift (David). Beloved sibling of Dorothy Watts (Ruben), and Paul Greenhow (Trish),sister-in-law Betty Repa and brother-in-law Ted Byrne (Liz). Predeceased by her daughters Jennifer and Marney, brothers John, David, Geoffrey, Peter. Proud grandmother to Reta Swift (Graeme), Anthony Byrne, Martha Hill Swift (Cory), Christopher Foster (Lisa), Nicole Foster (Rich). Loving great-grandmother of five wonderful boys. Mary Anne will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She had a great passion for artistic creation displayed through her beautiful paintings, sewing, smocking, knitting, and floral arranging. She found great comfort in family and her Christian faith. Her life-long connection with the family cottage at Halls Lake, where extended family gathered, brought annual joy and anticipation. Heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff of Caroline Place RH for their exceptionally kind and competent care of our parents; the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff of 8 West, Hamilton General, and LHIN Palliative Care team.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton Ave. West (Caroline & Charlton Ave.), Hamilton. (www.cpchamilton.ca) for parking options. Reception to follow. Church fully wheelchair accessible.
