In her 73rd year, Linda passed away comfortably at home on Friday, October 4, 2013 after a brave journey with brain cancer. Linda is survived by her husband Barry Dyment, by sister Sue Purola (Lavy) and by her three daughters; Suzanne Swanton (Lynne Mitchell), Gabrielle Swanton (David McHarg), and Nora Zess (Ken), and by grandchildren; Jarin, Ben, Sam, Madeline, Robert, Benjamin, Aaron (Alex), Adam and Olivia. Linda enjoyed a highly successful career in Human Resource Management, more recently for the Oakville and Hamilton Public Libraries. In retirement, she combined her interest in history and HR talents to assist the volunteer group at the Dundas Historical Museum and Archives and served as Vice Chair of the Board. She was an avid reader and traveller, a committed and valued friend to many. Linda will be truly missed. Relatives, friends and neighbours have been incredibly supportive. The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Torres, Dr. Kahn, Dr. Saunders, CCAC, VON, St. Elizabeth’s and to the palliative medical team. A special thank you to Dr. Faught.
