Joe passed away peacefully on Thursday November 17, 2022 at the Georgian Retirement Home in Dundas. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth and his son Ralph. Sadly missed by his sister Rissy in Germany, daughter-in-law Mariana Wenisch and very close friends Debbie and Bert Dorpmans, Randy and Kathy Wheaton and Almarisa van Diermen.
Joe charmed everyone he met with his smile and happy personality. He loved to laugh and would say that he was "born happy". He was a master cabinet maker and carpenter, who took great pride in building his house with Elizabeth on Rock Chapel. He was married to his soul mate for 70 Years and they cherished each other. They loved to travel and drove their van, which Joe converted into a camper, across Canada and the United States. He had an inquisitive mind and loved to discuss history, nature and current events. He savoured his food, wine, beer and companionship.
A special thank you to the staff at the Georgian Retirement Home and Dr. Paula Shott
In keeping with Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will follow at a later date. Donations to Heart and Stroke would be appreciated.
"Until we meet again you will be forever loved and deeply missed"
