Elizabeth Bowker Chandler

Sadly we announce the passing of Elizabeth B. Chandler, at the Brant Centre LTC Residence, on July 23, 2012, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her loving husbands Gerald Chandler, Donald Shaw and Charles Pim. Elizabeth was a loving mother of, and will be deeply missed by her sons Joseph, and Michael (Mary Ann), and unfortunately predeceased by her loving daughters, Sarah (Keith) and Emily. She was also predeceased by her parents Emily and William, sister Rogene and brother’s Hale and George, all from Northern Michigan. Grandmother of much adored Erin and Ryan Pim, Lesley Thomson-Hayden, and the late Carolyn Thomson. Great-grandmother of Stewart and Liam Pim and also Kelly and Scott Thomson-Hayden. Dearest “Aunt Libby” of Ann Hagen of Huntington, WV. Dearest friend of Joyce Anderson with whom she was employed at Westdale United Church for many years. They and her many other acquaintances will also miss her wonderful smile and friendly manner. Such a lovely lady was she…always remembering to give thanks and express her love for you. A special thank you is extended to the staff at the First Place in Hamilton (2C-Assisted Living), where Elizabeth enjoyed over 10 years in their always attentive, comforting and patient, resident care. Thanks also to Dr. Marie Noronha who cared for Elizabeth as if she were her own mother. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. The ashes of Elizabeth, along with those of her late daughter Emily, will be together interred at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Hamilton.
