YOUNG, Eleanor Gladys (nee Flock-Douglas), May 25th, 1941.
Passed away surrounded by her loving family on the afternoon of September 16th, 2016 at Hamilton General Hospital. Predeceased by her much loved husband Bob (2001), brother Allan, and sisters Bernice & Doreen. She leaves behind her children Wendy Aubé (Eric), Rob Young (Kelly), Brian Young (Sheila) and Rick Young (Vanessa). Always the beloved “Grammy” to Stephanie, Denis, Jared, Natasha, Margo and Mathew. She was the sister of Shirley and brother Glen, both of B.C. Family and her many friends were incredibly lucky to have had such a shining example of what it means to be a kind and generous soul. As per her request, there will be no public memorial. Her final wish was that we all do something kind for someone else - a true testament to how she lived her giving and caring life. She will be forever loved and missed. With grateful thanks to the General Hospital Cardiac care team, hematology specialists, exceptional nurses and the staff at Dundurn Centre and Shalom Village.
