Eleanor Vance

Passed away on Tuesday, October 21 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Stanley Vance. Survived by her sister Rene Bedford. Loving mother and mother –in- law of Paul (Margaret) and Graham (Susan). Loved Gran of Angela (Darryl), Noel (Erin), and Melanie and Nora (Jon), Dylan (Katka), Marni (Ryan), Geoff, (Andrea).

Great grand-mother of Samantha, Alliyah, Paisley, Madeleine and Liza, Gwyn, Remi, Tobi and Tysen. She will be fondly remembered by Audrey and nieces and nephews and by Tamara, John and David.

Eleanor was an active member and elder at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Hamilton from 1949 to 2010, with contributions including teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and serving as president of the WMS.

Eleanor loved the cottage on Lake of Bays and spent many summers there with family and friends. She provided a gracious and dignified example and she will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at 2 o’clock, with visitation one hour prior at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 70 James Street South, Hamilton. Memorial donations should be made to a charity of your choice.
