It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eleanor Longo, on May 30th, 2024 in her 82nd year. Eleanor will be dearly missed by her husband Victor, her children Valerie (Doug), David (Geovanna), Victor and Marianne. Eleanor was immensely proud of her 10 grandchildren Jenna (Patrick), Trevor (Cathy), Heather, Antonio, Alejandro, Juancarlos, Stella, William, Michael and Mia and her great granddaughter Rowan.
Her Italian cooking and laughter during family Rummoli night will be missed. Her humour and voice of reason will be fondly remembered by her brother Gordon (late Gloria), her sister and brother-in-laws Lynda (late Al), Lucie (Mike), Patsy, Andy (Barb) and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is predeceased by her parents Guido and Nilda, and brother John. She was a dedicated, talented teacher and honoured to help shape the minds of so many students. Eleanor made lasting friendships at the SIM gym. Lunch with the “gym girls” was a highlight of any week. As a breast cancer survivor for 11 years she found joy and support at the MacWarriors gym and was in awe of the strength of her fellow Warriors.
