Amelia Hutchings was born in Glasgow Scotland to Kitty and Bobby France. After Bobby’s death in WW2, Kitty married Alec Morrison and raised Em and her older brother, Bobby. She moved to Canada in her early 20’s and started working at John Deere. It is there where she met a fine young lad, named Percival Hutchings. Soon after meeting, they were married and together until his passing in March of 2023.
Amelia loved life and was the most positive and optimistic person you would ever know. She loved parties and tennis, friends and family, sparkles and happy hour. She passed peacefully on September 21st knowing she was so loved.
She is survived by her son Todd Hutchings and daughter in law Amy, grandchildren Olivia and Spencer and her son Grant Hutchings and his partner Annette. She is also survived by very many friends and extended family.
A service will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 2pm.
Please raise a glass at your next happy hour in her honor and live with positivity and optimism as she did every day.
