Guadalupe R Ortega

Guadalupe Ortega, 82, passed away August 10, 2018 surrounded by his family. His viewing will be Wednesday the 15th at 6:00-8:00PM and the funeral service will be Thursday the 16th at 11:00AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Guadalupe, “Lupe” was born January 14, 1936 in Santa Isabel, Chihuahua; Mexico to Bartolo Ortega Peña and Maria Rivera Ortega. Lupe was a hardworking man; strong and fit. He passions were hiking, boxing/UFC and his love of animals but the dearest thing to his heart was his love of horses. He tended to his livestock and tamed the horses on his family ranch in Santa Ana. He came to Texas in 1969 and was married to Marcelina Martinez for thiry-seven wonderful years. They had four children. He was survived by his children Guadalupe Ortega Jr., Ricky Ortega. Cynthia Gonzales, Silvia Romero, Brother Antonio Ortega and his two sisters; Carlota and Josephina. Lupe was proceeded by in death with his parents his brothers and sisters; Herlinda, Ernestina, Arturo, Enrique, Alfredo, Socorro, and Evangelina.

Lupe loved all his grandchildren very much, and he will be greatly missed by his family. He has now join his wife Marcelina in Heaven and may he rest in peace.
