With heavy hearts we say goodbye to a loving and lovely Mother, Oma, and Great-Oma.
Anneliese was born in Brieg, Germany. She married Theodor Hellmann in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1949. Together they immigrated to Canada along with their two eldest children in 1958. They settled in the Vancouver area, then had one more child and adopted a fourth child.
She was predeceased by her husband, Theo, in 2013.
She is survived by her four children: Ulrike Angelis, Michael Hellmann (Karen), Maureen Hellmann (Alec), and Patricia Hellmann, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters-in-law in Germany, one niece and one nephew and numerous friends through the church and Sunridge nursing home.
A service will be held November 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church; followed by a light lunch provided by the church.
We are thankful to Dr. Reimer, nurses and support staff at Sunridge Care Home for their excellent care and compassion. We also thank Pastor Willie and Pastor Roggow for their dedication and continual visits to her bedside.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to C.N.I.B. or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
She will be forever missed and loved.
