Allan Edouard John Peirce passed away peacefully in the Duncan Cowichan District Hospital on June 18, 2024, at the age of 89. A loving father, son, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Allan was born on July 14, 1934 in Victoria, BC to Elsie Phyllis (nee Hetherington) and Earl Allan Peirce. His early years were spent in Duncan, South Wellington, and Nanaimo. In 1959, he started working for Island Tug and Barge, where he worked for 17 years. Allan remained in Nanaimo until 1975 when he moved his family to North Saanich to start working for the BC Ferry Corporation, then later moving to Saltspring Island. He retired in 1999 and remained on Saltspring Island.
Allan is predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Effie Myrle (nee Wheatcroft). He is survived by his children David, Lenora (Lea), Alison, Terri, and Elizabeth, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will greatly miss him.
Following Allan’s wishes, no service will be held.
