Uncle Tom was one of a kind. Wonderful and caring. When I feel sad about his passing, I say 'I love it'! Which is one of my favorite sayings of his. He gave so much to others. David Roy Ward, Jr. and family.

I'm saddened to hear of Tom's passing. Will always remember what a warm-hearted guy he was, and will miss him. Beryl, my sympathies go out to you.

I knew Tom for many years as a co-worker at Prudential and as a friend long after he retired.  He was such a great guy - so friendly and fun.  Tom will be greatly missed by so many.  My condolences to the Ward family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Beryl and your family. I moved in next door several months ago. I will miss the "deck talks". I had a friend over and after talking to Tom on the deck he commented that I was very fortunate to have Tom to talk to and everyone should be that lucky. He will be missed.

Tom was a special person/uncle/friend.
He was always ready to help and offer guidance (and the occasional HUG). 
He will be missed and remembered by all he came in contact with over the years.
Just wondering what new adventures he is into now. 
We will always remember going "Catching" with the Ward Walleye Surfari annual adventure. 
He brought many great times to his family and friends. Remember the love and respect he offered, and, carry it with you all, to share and pass forward.





I grew up on the west side across the alley from the Ward family, all six of them. Jr was the youngest and four years older than me. He was my protector, chum, and mentor. Tom was three years ahead of Jr. and taught me how to play catch and was also the best sitter I ever had if my folks were away. Tom and my friendship continued all these years. Our hearts are heavy with the death of Uncle Tom. He was/is a remarkable and inspirational person. He was like a second dad to me. Uncle T taught all of us ( the next Ward generation ) so many important and valuable life lessons. He taught us that faith, family and fun are all the most important things in life in that order. He demonstrated that giving to others/community and paying it forward is something we all need to do. He showed us that standing up for what you believe in and your principles is the correct thing to do. Uncle T lived a life of loving and accepting others. He is/was a person of courage, character and conscience. His love for Vi, Beryl, Toad, Wardy, Jimbob and Franco is/was unconditional and everlasting. He gave all of us so many great memories.
