He was born in St. Johns, Michigan on May 17, 1965 to Nicholas J. and Judy L. (Hathaway) Blotti. In his youth the family moved to Duluth where Terry attended Denfeld High School graduating in 1983. Later he attended Duluth Area Vocational and Technical College where he studied welding.
Terry was a self-employed welder for many years. He owned and operated several local businesses including Fire Lite Grills and Blotti and Son’s Contracting. Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Duluth area. He loved going to auctions and was a member of the Lakehead Harvester Reunion. Terry was also passionate about collecting antique machinery and Maytag motors and memorabilia. He was known to many as “The Maytag Kid.” Terry will be remembered for his big heart and his unselfish willingness to help his family, neighbors, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Judy; granddaughter Kaitlyn; grandparents, Nicholas and Dorothy Blotti and Wesley and Leota Hathaway.
Terry is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Anderson; father Nicholas; children, Scotty Blotti, Nicholas (Kristi) Blotti, Johnathon (Pam Carter) Blotti, Matthew Blotti all of Duluth, MN; siblings, Kenyon (Sarah) Hathaway of St. Johns Michigan; Lynn Blotti of Duluth, MN and Nicole (Gary) Bauer of Poplar, WI; nieces, Brandi and Amanda Bauer; two grandbabies on the way as well as many other family members and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church 721 N. 57th Ave. W. with Father James Bissonette presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
