She was born to Stanley and Sophia (Ziomex) Machowski in Duluth.
Stella married Theodore Bennett, May 6, 1945 in Duluth.
She worked alongside her husband, Ted, throughout their married life in their upholstery business until retirement and his passing.
Stella, Ted, and their daughter established the St. James Prayer Group. With others they traveled Northern Minnesota and Upper Wisconsin with their music and healing ministry group, “The Handmaidens of the Lord”. They also started a prison ministry through the prayer group.
Music, dancing, the Lord, flowers and Polish food were her love in life. Stella was an avid guitar player and vocalist. Her wit, singing, and constant puttering will be missed by family and all whose life she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore; her parents and sisters, Joanne (Jenny) Berg, Mary Jezierski, and Adeline Rep.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Charles) Ryan of Duluth; two granddaughters, Autumn (George) Regas and Amber (Michael) Mukka; along with four great grandchildren, Ellie, Emily, Jack, and Teddy.
