Roger Eugene Johnson

Roger was born October 3, 1942 in Canby, MN to Arthur and Hazel Johnson.

He married Ardell Nohrenberg April 13, 1963. They moved to Duluth in 1969 to further his career as a welder, he was then able to start working at Clyde Iron as a forklift driver and welder.

Roger and Ardell were married for 51 years. In that time they had six children and four grandchildren. They enjoyed going on trips and long rides, going out to eat, listening to 50’s music, watching movies, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; mother-in-law, Anna; sisters-in-law, Ardis, Opal, Annetta; and brothers-in-law, Walt (Saki), and Linia.

Roger is survived by his wife, Ardell J. Johnson; six children: Cindy Norton, James Johnson, Tim (Marsha) Johnson, Brian Johnson, Brad (Linda) Johnson, and Crystal (John) Joyner; four grandchildren: Joseph Norton, Holly (Cory) Pearce, Aaron Norton, and Amber Norton; brother, Daniel (Janet) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Lois Skallerud, Elaine Dwire; and Brother-in-law, Orville Nohrenberg.

Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, January 24 at the Salvation Army, 215 S 27th Ave W, Duluth.
