She was born on March 17, 1925 to William and Anna Mohaupt. Patricia attended St. Clements Elementary School and graduated from Denfeld High School in 1943. She was a secretary at Butler Shipyards during World War II. After the war, she worked at War Assets. From 1947 to 1950 she was a private secretary to the superintendent at Western Electric Company when they began operation in Duluth.
Patricia married Roy Kuettel in 1948 after meeting him on the job when his firm was doing construction work at Western Electric. She took a leave from the workforce in 1950 to start a family. Patricia was an avid reader and at one point had read every book in the Lincoln library. She cherished the times spent with her family.
She and her husband lived in Lester Park until they built a house in the Woodland area of Duluth in 1955 and lived there until 1996 when they built a house in Superior. While in Duluth, they were members of St. John’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane (Bowers) and Kathryn (Reimen); a brother, William.
Her husband Roy followed her home the very next day.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kathy Gellerstedt; grandson, Adam (Heidi) Gellerstedt; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the hospice staff at St. Luke’s and the Solvay Hospice House staff for the care and compassion shown during her stay.
Funeral Service will be held for Patricia & Roy at 11:00 am on Monday, March 16th at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W., with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Superior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Solvay Hospice House.
