Nancy attended Chester Park Elementary, East Jr. High, and Central High School graduating in 1941. She married Henry “Hank” Jensen on November 2, 1946. She was a stay-at-home mom for their four children along with managing the books for her husband’s golf pro business. She also volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital for just shy of 50 years.
Nancy enjoyed golfing, bowling, crocheting, knitting, and playing bridge. She described herself as a sports enthusiast, thoroughly enjoying being a spectator at all her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s many different activities.
Nancy will be remembered for her devotion to her husband and family. Her advice to the younger generation of today is “Enjoy every minute and treasure the memories, life goes by too fast”.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Hank Jensen; granddaughter, Jennifer Martin; and sister, June Sampson Peterson.
Nancy will be greatly missed by her children, Carolyn (Jerry) Braiedy of Hermantown; Jim (Deb) Jensen of Bemidji, Jayne (Art) Martin of Park Rapids, and Paul (Shelly) Jensen of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other family members.
