She was born in Virginia, Minnesota on Oct. 7, 1936, daughter of the late Sam and Esther (Maki) Holevas. Nancy lived in Angora and Leonidas before moving to West Duluth in 1947. Following her graduation from Denfeld High School in 1954 she held secretarial positions in a variety of companies. When the new Target store opened in Oct.1962 she was offered employment as a bookkeeper in the grocery store. In 1981 she moved to 6th Ave. IGA where she remained until the store closed in 1993.

Her family will miss her good cooking and baking. Her greatest joy was her family and over the years she flew to many different locations to visit them.
