Muriel Rosamond Larson

Muriel R. Larson, 80, resident of Plainview Estates in Cloquet, formerly of Hermantown, passed away Tuesday August 17, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. She was born August 18, 1929, to Victor and Rosamond (Soderholm) Lofald.

Muriel lived in Hermantown for most of her life attending Hermantown School (class of ’47). She worked at Orecks and JC Penney’s before raising her family. Muriel was then bookkeeper for the family business, Adolph Lumber Co., retiring in 1995. She had been active in PTA, enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends over coffee and cards. Muriel will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Muriel is survived by her two children Dick (Sue) Larson, Nancy (Jim) Hill; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild ; extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Faith Baptist Church, 5693 Maple Grove Rd, Hermantown MN. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service, Rev. Brian Wiita officiating, interment at Union Cemetery.
