Mona L Carl

She was born in Esserville, VA on January 24, 1947 to Denver and Opal Hamilton.

In 1963, she married Lawrence Carl Sr., and together they had four sons.

Mona worked as an LPN at several area Nursing Homes. She had served as President of the A.F.S.C.M.E. Labor Union. Mona was also employed as the head bartender at the Proctor Moose Lodge for many years, where she made many good friends. She was a very loving and caring woman. Her family meant everything to her.

Mona is preceded in death by her son, Martin Shane Carl; mother, Opal; and three brothers, Jimmy , Danny and Dennis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Sr., three sons, Larry Jr. (Nancy), Chris (Tracey) and Jon Sr.; Grandchildren, Krystal, Cassaundra, Lesa and Jonathan; great-grandson, Gavin; her father, Denver; sister, Saundra (Walter); two brothers, Larry (Pam) and Mark; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in Bell Brothers Chapel. 601 North 56th Ave. West. Burial will be in Solway Cemetery.
