Larry was born in Duluth on April 17th, 1938 to Oscar and Gertrude (Stoore) Lundberg. He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1956 and attended UMD. Larry was a Master Plumber and lifelong employee and co-owner of Plaunt Co. Plumbing & Heating until his retirement in 1999. Also, Larry was a lifelong contributing member in the Plumbers and Steamfitters, Local 11 and member of the Western Lake Superior Plumbers Heating and Cooling Contractor Association serving as President for two years.
He served 6 years in the Air National Guard and subsequent member of Spirit Valley Kiwanis and West Duluth American Legion Post 71. He was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church providing expertise in his life-long career and individual values.
Larry played fast pitch softball and was active in youth Little League Baseball & hockey. He spent countless hours playing cribbage at the “Lake” and locally in the Wednesday Night Duluth Cribbage League.
Larry married Maureen (Herman) on May 5th, 1962. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin on Martin Lake. Anyone who knew Larry well will remember him sitting near the woodpile at the “Lake” trying to sell his favorite line of BS.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and father in-laws John E. Kiheri and Henry Lessard.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maureen; son David (fiancé Christine Leone) of Cloquet; daughter Kristi (Kyle) Streitmatter of Kalispell, Montana and grandchildren Parker Lundberg and Brayden Streitmatter.
Also survived by sister in-law Diane (Dennis) Monson of Duluth, brother-in-law John (Beverly) Kiheri of Albertville; mother-in-law
Mabel Lessard of Duluth; six nieces and nephews; several cousins, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home 601 N. 56th Ave. W. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Elim Lutheran Church 6101 Cody St. with Pastor Jim Hagen presiding. Interment will be held in Oneota Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Elim Lutheran Church or Essentia Health Home Hospice.
