To my Auntie,

When the youngest of our clan goes up and asks about who you were this is what I will tell them:

My Auntie Kris was like Glitter in the air.
Her personality glistened in the light- shiny and bright.
Her laughter floating on the wind infecting all of those around her- flitting and fleeting.
Dancing here with us only for a moment.

When she finally touched the ground, she fell into pieces- a mess.
But once that breeze kicked her up back into the wind she was a sight to behold- a beautiful soul- fragile and gentle with love for all.

I hope that breeze carries her to a wonderful new place, Where she might find a sense of peace  to shine down upon us- blessed to have known her.

We will stay here to dance in her light.

Dearest Auntie Carol, and Cousin's Sharon, Tom, Kathryn and Cindy ~
I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of my cousin Krissy's passing..I sorely wish I could be with you all during Krissy's service but am in California visiting son, Jake and family.  Please know that all of you have been, and will continue to be in our prayers, especially in the coming days, weeks and months ahead.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who knew and loved Kris.  She and my younger sister, Donna, played together as children and were friends as teenagers and adults.  I remember that Kris always had a smile on her face, and they always had a great time when they were together.  They were always planning and creating.  We all had so much fun playing kick the can from her front yard, playing games in the field, and log dogs (ha! ha!). I remember visiting Kris and her little boy, with Donna, in Breckenridge.  She was so happy being a mom and living in such a beautiful place.  My heart goes out to all of you...she will be missed...

I was so sad when Kathy called to tell me of Kris' passing. I remember so well when the girls were in grade school and all of the good times they shared in Lester Park and the neighborhood. Kris always had such an infectious laugh! My thoughts and deep sympathy are with you in this difficult time.

So many memories of Kris, Kathy, Donna and myself tramping around the woods and swimming in the river across the street - going to YWCA horse camp, picnicking in our backyards, sliding down Udesen's hill, playing at the "horsie tree".  I admired Kris, she always seemed to make people laugh and made friends so easily - it does not seem real and I wish I could think of something even more comforting to say.  Just know that I am praying for you and hoping you find comfort in Him and in your memories of Kris.

Dear Seymour Family,
Please accept my sympathies. Linda called to tell me and I thought about all our wonderful times together growing up- swimming at the Deeps, riding horses, so much time in the woods of Lester Park- summer and winter, braiding long yarn leashes for our rabbits to go walking, sleepovers, talking about boys... and lots of laughing. I will be thinking about all of you and will try to add some photos later.

My prayers go out to the Seymour Family, Ron and Brandon. I have so many great childhood memories with Kris. Kris could light up a room and be sure to have you laughing.I feel blessed to have had her as a friend.

 Kiersten...I am completely shocked and deeply saddened to find out you are gone. My deepest sympathy to your mother, Brandon and family. I wanted them all to know you were the younger sister I never had. You knew me better than I knew myself.. You stood by me when my mother passed away.  You supported me when as I was a single parent. It brings tears to my eyes knowing I won't hear your infectious laugh or share in your wicked sense of humor. There are so many memories to share...I think the evenings we stayed at Skiers Edge in 2008 takes the cake as you, Katy and I had the lodge to ourselves.....5 miles away in Breckenridge they could have heard us laughing.. I am so glad we got to see other after so many years. I always laughed the hardest when you were with me.  You take a piece of my heart with you. I wish you peace my dearest friend. Godspeed.

This is to my dear friend Carol,Kris's mom.Carol I feel so bad for you that you lost your baby Kris even though she wasent a baby she was your baby.It is not natrual for our children to go before us and it dosent seem fair.God had his reasons for taking her from you and you may not know why till your face to face with him yourself.The next time you see a butterfly know it's her saying "Mom i am still here and I love you",she know's how much you love them.I know you can't cry cause of your own illness but know this I cry for you.I can not imagine losing any of my babies,it would crush me.Please know I love you so much and if you need me for anything I will be there for you.LOVE YOUR FRIEND CHERYL FROM THE PINES.

I am so sad to hear about Kris' passing.  Kris and I had the best times together as kids.  She had a great sense of humor, to this day I think of things that she has said or done and I still laugh.  

When we first moved to Colorado my husband and I visited Kris and Ron a few times in Breckenridge before they moved back to MN.  Kris and I took a road trip from Colorado to Minnesota before either of us had kids.  

Somehow we lost touch along the way, but I will always think of her on her birthday as it is also my son Kristofer's birthday.  She will be missed.  God Bless.

Dear Seymour Family,
I have so many good and fun memories of Kris.  We were friends from the time she was about 15 or 16 years old.  She baby sat for me when my kids were very small and cared for them with great love and affection.  She spent a lot of time at my house when my ex-husband and I lived on Avondale Street. (That would be Terry and Brenda Davis with children Eric and Erin).  After we returned home we would talk, and often she would come over with Donna just to visit and hang out.  We would play games and chat and snack and just have fun.
She was like my younger sister and I loved her dearly!  She always made me laugh and she was a joy to have around!  She and Ron lived with Terry and I after they returned from Colorado after we had visted them and encouraged them to return to Duluth and Ron worked for Terry for a long time. 
Like a lot of relationships we get busy and I had made several attempts to get together with Kris in the more recent past but we always seemed to have trouble with finding the time.  
You never think how someone you care about will be snatched away prematurely without being able to tell them how much they meant to you in your life.  Kris is now one of theset people for me.  She was always so great about laughing away the bad stuff and just continuing on.   
After I read her obituary a flood of memories came back to me of the things we had done together.  Camping at Timberline Campground in Sturgeon Lake when the kids were small, hanging out, but the most memorable was when She and Ron lived in a mobile home at the old Mink Farm up the shore a ways and I went and stayed the weekend while Ron and Terry went fishing.  She and I walked to a landing spot down the road and sat by the lake and had a beer and smoked a couple of cigarettes and just talked while enjoying the moon over the lake.  We talked about troubles, we laughed, talked about kids and talked about Brandon and how challenging he was and he was worth 3 or 4 kids all by himself.  
I wish I had had more time and continued to make the effort to reach her and talk to her again.  
I share with you in your sorrow and pain in your loss.  I hope too that your memories will be sweet of her and that in time they will bring a smile to your face again.

I have no doubt in believing she is in heaven with her beautiful angel wings flying around and causing mischief, probably having trouble getting used to using them, but as with life on earth, she will figure it out and surpass all others.
