Karen Marie Sunnarborg

She was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Duluth, to Palmer and Christine (Peterson) Peterson. She was a 1961 graduate of Denfeld High School, and worked for many years as a nurse until forced into early retirement by her disability. She loved animals, reading, and watching films.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother Palmer “Butch” (Linda) Peterson.

She is survived by her daughter Christine (Will) Sunnarborg, sisters Susan Peterson and Mary Alice Johnson, brother Brian (Marilyn) Peterson, three nieces, three nephews, and her many devoted caregivers at Interim.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, with visitation at 10 a.m., in Bell Brothers Funeral Home.

Burial will be at a later date, at Calvary Cemetery, Duluth.
