Julia loved long drives, laughing, and all things pretty and her family declared her the "family bombshell," as she was as beautiful as she was bright. She loved the summer time and the sand on the beach. She loved to venture out and admire the beautiful sights; she also loved to stay in on cozy nights with the love of her life, Matt. But most of all, she loved her family. Although, that doesn’t include just the people she was born and raised with, it includes the people she lived with, the people she loved with, the people she thrived with.
Julia was special, so much so that she could be whoever she wanted to be. As a child she could hang like the boys, as an adult she could pretty up with girls. But whoever she decided to be, she was always so unique, and irreplaceable.
As beautiful as she was on the outside, the beauty she held inside far surpassed that. Julia was, and is, and will always remain the ideal essence of beauty. She graced every person with her light, and left us with the immense absence of her warmth. While we are all saddened by this terrible and tragic loss, we all can breathe a little easier knowing that somewhere out there, Julia has finally learned to fly.
She is survived by her loving parents Bob Oswald and Loni Blumerich, her step parents, Sandie Sandstrom and Horst Blumerich, her siblings Steve, Alina, and Kate Oswald, her nephew Charlie, and the love of her life, Matt Shere.
Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Saturday, September 12 in the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E 4th St, Duluth.
