Joyce Eileen Goar

Our loving wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother could not recover from a massive stroke. She passed away on December 18, 2014. She was born and raised in Ironwood, Michigan. Upon completion of high school, she moved to Duluth, MN, in 1959 and completed a two year course in medical transcription at the Duluth Clinic. She had a short break for her children then worked until December, 2001, when she retired from the Clinic. She was a happy traveler, gardener, walker, fishing partner, and cook. She enjoyed going to her kids’ hockey games and other activities, a lifestyle which she continued with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who surround her: husband (Tom); sons, Gary (Amanda), Paul, Kim (Wayne), Heidi (Edward), and Kurt (Holly); brother, Rodney (Terry), and loving grandchildren. We all wish we could have enjoyed many more years with her.

Visitation: 5-7 on Friday, December 19th at Bell Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E 4th St., in Duluth. Funeral Service Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1108 E 8th St, in Duluth, with visitation one hour prior.
