Born Aug. 15, 1929 to John and Mary Talarico, he attended Denfeld High School graduating in 1947.
Joseph married Lillian Miller May 3, 1952. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Joe worked for many years at Hobart Sales and Service and retired from the DM and IR Railroad after 42 years as an engineer. He was also known as “Mr. Fix It” and lent a hand to whoever needed his expertise. He was a member of Hillside Methodist Church, thank you Pastor Sam Kautz for your visits and prayers. He was an avid bowler for many years and belonged to the Italian American Club, VFW Post 137, American Legion Post 71, Raleigh Street Breakfast Club, and the Railroad Retirees. He also enjoyed playing cribbage with the Mon. and Thurs. group at the VFW.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Johnson and Clara DeScisio, and sister-in-law, Ruth Holter.
He is survived by his wife of 61years Lillian; sons, Jay (Janet Rogers), Alan (Teresa); daughter Beth (Ron) Kraml; his pride and joys, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Tom) Collard, Brian Kraml, and Thomas Talarico; brothers, Angelo and Bud Talarico; nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank Drs. Goueli, Finken, Popham and their staffs, Dr. Repka (Ret.), St. Luke’s Hospice for their care, and many friends for their prayers.
At Joe’s request, no funeral will be held.
