Irene M. Resberg

Irene was born in Duluth on December 14, 1923 to Mark and Della (Foley) Patnaude. She graduated from Denfeld High School class of 1942. She worked for a time before marrying Alvin Resberg on September 14, 1946. Irene was a homemaker and spent the next many years raising her family. Irene had a generous nature and held onto her wry sense of humor until the end. The most important thing to Irene was family and the time she spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Victoria Royer Patnaude and siblings, Dan, Helen and Catherine.

Irene is survived by her husband Alvin of 65 years; children, Jan Marc Resberg of South Range, WI, Timothy (Kathy) Resberg of Hermantown,, Bethann Williams of Duluth and Kathy Resberg of Blaine; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Patnaude of Esko, Robert (Sharon) Patnaude of Oklahoma, Tom (Margaret) Patnaude of Hermantown, Carol (Jack) Paquette of Duluth; brother-in-law Don Holmgren of Duluth as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home 601 N. 56th Ave. W. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. Visitation will continue from 10 A.M. until the 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church 715 N. 57th Ave. W. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Bell Brothers Funeral Home 624-5745
