He was born May 21, 1953, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Henry and Rosie Fisher. He graduated from Michigan State with his Master Degree. He always strived to be the best that he could be. He was very involved in his community; helped support less fortunate children, and donated and raised money to be sure that children could attend camp with the YMCA.
Henry worked for the State of Minnesota for the Pollution Control Agency as an Enviromentalist. He was a very dedicated employee here in Duluth for over 19 years; worked for the State of Illinois for over 10 years in Solid Waste Management. He was also in Denver, Colorado for some time in the solid waste management field.
He was very passionate about fishing and loved to be on the water, he was an avid gardener, loved antiques and loved to ride his Fat Boy Harley.
He was an avid MSU Spartans, Tigers, and Detroit Lions Fan. Henry was a treasure hunter and bottle collector and loved going to antique shops.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and his nephew, Jason Fisher.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Michael (Jeanette) Fisher, Candy (Robert) Newton, and Melody (Donald) Osterholm; multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; many friends; and his partner in life, Samie the Cat.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th Street, Duluth.
