Bernice Marie Molinaro

Bernice was born in Proctor, MN on October 4, 1923 to Alfred and Lilly Olson.

Bernice was a 1942 Meadowlands High School graduate, and had spent several years working as a sales clerk at JC Penney

On June 25, 1949 she married Daniel Molinaro and together they raised three daughters.

Bernice was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and active in its Mary Circle.

She was also a member of the Piedmont Garden Club and enjoyed her Homemakers Club. Bernice was very creative and spent time sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Later in life she also made beaded necklaces for family and friends.

After her children were raised, Bernice was employed at Frederick’s in downtown Duluth in the wig department, retiring in 1974.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel (Aug. 1, 2009); an infant daughter, JoAnne Louise; and a brother, Kenneth Olson.

She is survived by her three daughters, Janet (Daryl) Sulerud of Duluth and Las Vegas, NV., Patricia Connell of Duluth and Peggy Moen of Nisswa, MN; five grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Swanson of Reno, Nev., Shawn Swanson of Reno, Nev., Danny Connell of Mpls., MN, Katelyn Connell of Duluth and Tara Moen of Tempe, AZ.; two siblings, Doris Mancina of Westminster, CA and Richard Olson of Duluth; brother-in-law, Larry (Kate) Molinaro of Duluth and Sister-in-law, Louise Rumpel of Duluth.

A Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service, Friday, May 21, 2010 in Christ Lutheran Church. 2415 Ensign St., Rev. Michael Main officiating. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown.
