Alvin S Resberg

Growing up, Alvin attended various schools. After school, Alvin joined the Civilian Conservation Corps prior to entering the military. Alvin served in the United States Army in the European Theatre, First Army. Following World War II, he began working for DWP, retiring at age 64. On September 14, 1946, Alvin married the love of his life, Irene Patnaude, in Duluth. Alvin and Irene were married for 65 years until her passing in 2011.

Alvin was a member of Elim Lutheran Church for over 85 years and also a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid woodworker.

Alvin was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; granddaughter, Kimberly; and sister, Evelyn McDonald.

Alvin will be greatly missed by his children, Jan Marc Resberg of South Range, WI, Timothy (Kathy) Resberg of Hermantown, Bethann Williams of Duluth, and Kathy Resberg of Mesa, AZ; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann’s and the Willow Lane Unit at Chris Jensen, for the excellent care Alvin received.
