She was born April 27, 1922 to William and Andrea McLean in Duluth. She graduated from Central High School in 1940 and was united in marriage to Raymond Witchall on December 29, 1943.
A long time Woodland resident, Aileen worked for 25 years as Executive Secretary for five bank presidents at First American/Norwest/Wells Fargo Bank in Duluth.
She was an active member of Woodland Methodist Church, Otter River Road Association, Elks Club, Pike Lake Golf Club, Wells Fargo Bank retirees, and Central High School class of 1940 reunion committee.
She enjoyed her bridge clubs, reading, golfing and playing cribbage with Ray. She loved being at their cabin on Island Lake with family and friends. Proud of her Scottish heritage, she particularly cherished her trip to Scotland with her granddaughter, Kara. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond in 1994; brother, Syd McLean; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Witchall.
Aileen is survived by her sons, Craig (Lois) Witchall and Ward Witchall, all of Duluth; grandchildren, Kimberley (Wayne) Meyer of Lakeville, Kara Witchall of Duluth, Todd Witchall of Burnsville and Kasey (Tara) Witchall of Plymouth; great-grandchildren, Ainsley Meyer and Grant Meyer; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Peterson and Amanda Peterson; and step-great-grandchildren, Emily, Sara and A.J.
