With great sorrow, the Miller family announces the passing of their beloved father, Walter F. Miller Jr., of Dublin, Ohio. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Walter F. Miller, Sr. and Eula Kiger, and died at age 97 on April 7, 2024. Walter passed away suddenly and peacefully following a short illness. Walter enjoyed 74 years of marriage with the love of his life, Violet R. Miller, until her death in July 2023. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Miller, son Robert Miller (Deborah), five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Walter attended Wheeling High School, Elliot School of Business and completed an advanced business degree at MIT, graduating in 1982. He was a lifelong employee at Hannah Mining Company and Iron Ore Company of Canada, retiring in 1987. Walter was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country during WWII. He was a Mason, loved Cleveland Browns football and was an avid golfer.
Walter was laid to rest following a private family gathering on April 12, 2024.
