Tim was born on February 1, 1953 in Worthington, OH, the second of five siblings, Steve, Pete (Terri), Patty Tiso (Steve), and Jeff.
He was a national champion hurdler at Thomas Worthington High School and went on to run track at Ohio State and UCLA. After college, he attended Princeton Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago before founding a church in San Diego, CA.
Tim met his wife, Brenda, in San Diego where he raised his two sons. His pride and joy was coaching their youth football teams for nearly a decade.
While Tim remained active in the church, his professional focus shifted to consulting with companies and teams on leadership. He became a renowned keynote speaker and advisor to businesses across the country. He also worked closely with coaches and sports teams and was instrumental in Ohio State football’s 2014 national championship.
An avid reader, fisherman, and cigar aficionado, Tim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His children and grandchildren will retell his jokes for years to come.
Tim is survived by his wife, Brenda, his sons, Brian Kight (Brittnee) and Carey Kight (Andrea Buccilla), and his step-daughter Jennifer Zolezzi (Julius). He had four grandchildren: Luke (7), Ava (4), Ilah (4), and Georgia (9).
A Celebration of Life for Tim is Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Northwest Presbyterian Church, 6400 Post Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016 at 2 p.m. followed by reception until 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The James Cancer Research and Treatment Center or Pregnancy Decision Health Centers.
