Thomas (Tom) Andrew Cole, aged 70 years, passed away at home on Friday, August 2, surrounded by loved ones. Tom was many things: a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend to many. He had a passion for working on cars, watching NASCAR, cheering for the Browns and Buckeyes, and collecting trains. Above all, he cherished spending time with his loved ones.
After nearly three decades with General Motors, Tom retired to enjoy his days with his wife of 48 years, Gay, and their family and friends. A person of incredible strength and character, one of Tom’s defining traits was that of a caretaker. He cared for many people in his life with selflessness, sacrifice, love, and commitment.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 16, 1954, Tom was preceded in death by his father Raymond and mother Ann. He is survived by his wife Gay; two daughters, Becky and Betsy; one son, Mike; two sons-in-law, Nick and Chris; one daughter-in-law, Jenn; five grandchildren, Lexi, Tori, Gabe, Liam, and Eli; two brothers, Jim and Dan; two sisters-in-law, Melissa and Jacque; and many cousins and friends.
Tom will be missed by many, and a celebration of life gathering will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017.
