Ronald Lee Taylor, 79, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 2, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Flossie Mae and John Morgan Taylor.
From 1962 to 1965, he proudly served in the United States Army. For 54 years he was a dedicated employee at International Harvester before retiring in 2019. Ronald was a hard worker who after many years of services retired to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Ronald was a special kind of person, always full of quick wit with very little filter, keeping anyone that knew him in stitches. He enjoyed Kentucky basketball, bowling, going to the casino, and weekly card club. His favorite past time was looking for his coffee cup; we know this because that’s where the majority of his time was spent.
He was a loving, generous, and kind person that touched the hearts of many.
Ronald’s memory is remembered by his loving family. His wife of 51 years Sharon Kay Taylor of Dublin, Ohio; two sons Troy (Regena) Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky, and Brian Taylor of Columbus, Ohio; and his beloved grandchildren Payton and Kennedy Taylor both of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Shirley Oller of Louisville, Kentucky, and special sisters and brothers-in law Joyce and Ben Sutton of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Pat and Fred Walker of Prospect, Kentucky. Ronald is preceded in death by his mother and father Flossie and John Taylor; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed Oller and Lorene Vincent; three brothers Larry, Jack and William and four sisters Judell, June, Betty and Jeanett.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jarred Burkhart and the staff at Columbus Oncology Associates, and to Dr. Shireen Parsia and staff of Ohio Health Radiation Oncology. Also, a special thanks to all members from Hospice of Ohio.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 on Wednesday October 2, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Schoedinger Dublin on Thursday October 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
