Robert Lee Davis

Bob was born on July 27, 1958, in St. Mary’s, Ohio. He worked for the City of Dublin as a police officer for 33 ½ years until his retirement in 2015. During that time, he worked in the detective bureau and was a task force agent with the DEA.

Bob loved boating, fishing, taking his German Shepherd, Rudy, for car rides and walks, and spending time with his family and friends. One of his proudest moments was pinning the badge on his son, Kyle, who followed in his footsteps, becoming a Columbus Police Officer in 2018.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Armond and Virginia Davis, father-in-law, John M. Anson, and close friend, Danny Beaudry.

Bob is survived by his former wife of 35 years, Lisa; son, Robert Scott (Missy) Davis of Ocala, Florida; daughter, Ashley Jett; son, Kyle Davis; daughter, Kaitlyn Davis (Zachary Linscott); grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Davis, Amelia and Lucian Linscott; brother, Scott Davis (Bradley and Carly); sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Colin Bryan (Mackenzie Rollins and family); brother-in-law, sister-in-law, Mark and Carolyn Anson (Madeline and Lily); mother-in-law, Gloria Anson; and a host of other friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Schoedinger Funeral Home at 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio, 43017. There will be a eulogy reading by Kyle Davis at 6:00 pm.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, February 20th at 10:00 am at Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd, Columbus, OH 43235
