We remember him for his strong, loving, quiet spirit who had a passion for family and faith. He loved being on his boat at Lake Erie with Sandy, the love of his life. He had a curiosity for learning and frequented as many historical sites and battlegrounds as he could. You could always find Mike in one of his many white hats from all of his adventures in life. He and Sandy have enjoyed many trips over their years of marriage, recently creating fond memories on their trips to Israel, Switzerland, and Italy. You can be sure he is in Heaven at a table talking with his dad and grandpa.
Mike is survived and missed by Sandy, his loving wife of 38 years; his children, Andy, Heidi, and Brandon and daughters-in-law, Alicia and Ashley. Forever cherished and remembered by his 2 grandchildren, Donovan and Eloise. He is also survived by his mother Helen, siblings, and their families; Jeannette (Jim) Lavallier, Nancy (Davis) Wulf, Norma (Curt) Witzig, and Judy (Gary) Musselman. His memory will be treasured by special niece and nephews, Jessica, Jacob, and Josh, and many others. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Roy and son-in-law Daniel.
Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN; 5980 Perimeter Drive Dublin, Ohio 43017 on Friday, January 27th from 4-7pm. Funeral service will be held at Worthington Christian Church; 8145 N High St, Columbus, OH 43235 on Saturday, January 28th at 10 am with visitation from 9-10am.
Mike and Sandy supported many charities; however, Compassion International and Samaritan’s Purse were two very close to his heart. If you are looking for a charity to support or honor Mike, please consider one of these.
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me
the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day.
2 Timothy 4:7-10
