Michael Jerome Szymanski, 68, passed into eternity on December 7, 2023; a beloved dad, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend, will be unbelievably missed. Michael was born in Akron, Ohio on June 22, 1955.
Captured by the ocean, Mike’s heart was most content at the beach where he lived in Southern California later in life, but moved back to Ohio to be with his family that he so loved. He enjoyed being a part of his son’s group of friends who called themselves “The Italians,” known to live life on his own terms.
He was a retired sales support specialist. He enjoyed fires under the night sky, classic cars, bike riding, computers, being on his HOA board and spicy foods. He even grew, smoked and dried his own peppers making spicy hot blends, called “Miquelapeno” spices.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome S. Szymanski; mother, Faye A. Szymanski; and brother, Stanley J. Szymanski. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Julianna) Szymanski and Jason (Renee) Szymanski; seven siblings, Geri (Ron) Swingle, Maria (Steve) Franks, Matthew (Susan) Szymanski, Paul (Julie) Szymanski, Michelle (Paul) Meade, Joe (Angie) Szymanski and Christopher (Jaffa) Szymanski; and eight grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Mike is scheduled for Saturday, December 16, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. to be held at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43017
