Martha Jane Hall Sigler of Dublin, OH passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2024. Martha was born August 31, 1953 in Champaign, Ill. and after high school attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI where she majored in Economics and graduated in 1975. There she met her future husband, Matt. Martha went on to graduate school at the University of Illinois where she obtained her MBA. She was also a credentialled C.F.A. (Chartered Financial Analyst). Martha moved to Columbus and while working at Nationwide as a portfolio manager, supported her husband, Matt, through dental school. Matt and Martha were married in 1977.
Martha was a faithful, loving, and kind woman. She was a 50 year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and had many friends in several cities from the organization. She loved classical music and was an accomplished pianist. She was deeply devoted to her four grandchildren. Martha had a passion for traveling, golf, walks in the woods, and vibrant cut flowers. She loved a clear, shimmering, star lit night and warm summer evenings when the trill of insects filled the air.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Elaine Hall. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Matt; brother, Jim (Melody) Hall, Thompson Station, TN; sister Carolyn (Larry) Vandendriessche, Nashville, TN; son, Andrew (Kaitlin), Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Laura (Tim), Dublin, OH; grandchildren Lily Sigler, Jacob Sigler, Olivia Logan, and Sophia Logan; nieces and nephew, and so many wonderful friends.
Martha will be remembered for her faith, her gentle nature, and her unfailing dedication to her family.
A memorial service for Martha will be at 1p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 with visitation to follow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN, 5980 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43107. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Salvation Army or the Columbus Metro Parks.
